The existing application, Interactive Test Data Management (iTDM), had grown organically from bundled scripts and played an increasingly central role. This had an unintended side effect: maintaining and expanding this system consumed more and more precious time from the internal development team, distracting them from their core tasks. The real challenge was transforming this system into a professional, extensible, and user-friendly self-service application that could guarantee test data integrity without burdening internal teams.
co-creating a modern self-service platform
Randstad Digital took full responsibility for the rebuild. We assembled a dedicated, multidisciplinary agile team consisting of onshore functional analysts and solution architects, and nearshore developers. Over time, this team was strengthened with specialists such as a data engineer and a DevOps specialist.
Our strategy involved close collaboration with the Telenet Product Owner to quickly define functional requirements and establish a clear backlog. This co-creation process compensated for the lack of extensive documentation and prevented time-consuming reverse engineering.
The new iTDM application was developed on Telenet's standardized, modern technology stack: a robust Java/Spring Boot backend, containerized and hosted on AWS EKS, and an Angular/TypeScript frontend. This cloud-native approach guarantees scalability, stability, and seamless integration with Telenet’s complex backend APIs.
